		Switch 3 lights that I use for 4 hours a day with compact fluorescent bulbs.

		Replace a porch light that's always on with a compact fluorescent bulb.

		CFLs use about 75% less energy than standard bulbs. I will save energy and reduce your power bill too.

		My heater thermostat down 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in the summer.

		Some manufacturers set water heaters at 140F degrees, but 120F degrees is enough for plenty of hot water

		Install low-flow showerheads.

		Replace an old TV with a new Energy Star one.

		Flat-screen monitors tend to use less energy than older models, so replace and properly recycle any old clunkers

		Air-dry my clothes in the spring and summer instead of using the dryer.

		Turn my heater thermostat down 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in the summer.

		Install a programmable thermostat to adjust my home's heating and cooling automatically

		Make sure my walls and ceilings are well-insulated.

		Install low-flow showerheads.

		Drive the speed limit

		Replace my old refrigerator with a new Energy Star one

		Shop “green.” Use reusable bags instead of plastic or paper, buy more locally-grown foods that don’t use pesticides, choose more products that have minimal packaging.

		Plant a tree. Trees absorb CO2, provide shade, muffle sound, keep UAE beautiful.

		Buy organic food.
