Silvr Lining was conceived in Southern California in 2008 during one of the worst worldwide economic downturns in modern history. The economic crisis coincided with growing global concerns over climate change and clean and affordable energy sources.
The founders believe that we have the choice of a brighter future due to humankind’s indomitable optimism, pragmatism, and ability to continually innovate new solutions to evolving problems. Indeed, amid the bleakness, there is a silver lining.
Silvr Lining is a design-driven fashion company endeavoring to offer original apparel and accessories with the special added value created by embracing modern technology to enhance the function and performance of our products. For example, high performance and tech-wise features are combined with the luxury of natural and organic materials to create functional Active-Urban fashions. Silvr Lining works with designers and affiliated suppliers to provide the highest quality, construction, fit and fabrications of each style that bears their label.
The GO Urban Cargo pants come with 6 x 8 inch solar panels which can be connected to a device through a USB port, to provide a supply voltage of 5 volts for charging mobiles/MP3 players.
DUGWEAR is the Active-Urban lifestyle fashion brand of the Silvr Lining company. The name DUGWEAR actually stands for “Duel Utility Garments”, which is a line of multi-functional clothing that meets the needs of modern, tech-savvy people living demanding, fast-paced lives. DUGWEAR designers strive to achieve the integration of tech-wise features into distinctive, natural, eco-chic products to enhance the everyday experience of living on planet Earth.

The need for increased protection from the sun's rays, including UV (ultraviolet) radiation, is a simple fact of modern life. As an alternative to wearing chemical sunblocks, DUGWEAR offers a 3-step, Layering Technique. This technique is a simple and practical approach to achieving comfortable and fashionable sun protection. Just use the simple, no-tech technique according to your daily activities, factoring in sun and weather conditions, and adding the appropriate accessories as needed.
Layer #1 is the “closest-to-you” layer. Fabricated with sensual and silky premium organic cotton and bamboo knits.
Layer #2, the “what's-next-layer”. Active-Urban sportswear separates including both tailored and soft styles with many tech-wise details. The range of related tops, pants, skirts, and dresses includes a knit shrug, and super functional tech-wise sweatshirt fleece, and organic bamboo and cotton velour knit hoodies and yoga pants.
Layer #3, the “final layer”. tech-wise Convertible and Utility styles that includes vests, jackets and pants. Outerwear is available in high performance Nylon Supplex or ULTRASUEDE LIGHT, the beautiful luxury fabric originally introduced in the 70's by the great American designer Halston. Ultrasuede has the look and feel of fine lamb suede, but is totally easy care, wash-and-dry, eco-wise, and animal friendly.
