Naya’s spring is located in the Lower Laurentians, in Mirabel, to the North of Montreal (Quebec, Canada).

The company’s founders first travelled the world for 5 years, in search of a spring with specific properties. When they found the Mirabel spring and its water of unique quality meeting their criteria, they decided to establish their company there.

The depths of the Canadian grounds conceal huge aquifers that formed millions of years ago. It is from one of these aquifers, more than 100 feet deep, that Naya draws its water today.

The plant was built at the spring in order to make sure that the water is bottled as close as possible to the resource, so as to preserve its natural qualities.

The company then grew quickly and gained the reputation of a key player in the bottled water sector in Quebec and North America.

Few people know this, but not all bottled waters are the same. Spring water, treated tap water and mineral water have several small differences between them. These differences can stem from the type of treatment it underwent, to the water’s source that may be kilometers away and requires transport by cistern between the spring and the bottling plant, or sometimes from the water’s chemical makeup. Some bottled waters are not spring water, but water that has been treated and drawn from the public systems, i.e. the municipal aqueducts. Read labels carefully, because Canadian labeling laws force bottled water companies to specify the type of water in their bottles!

Take, for example, spring water: as the name clearly indicates, the water comes from a natural underground spring. It has a distinct natural taste, which makes it easy to drink. Which comes as no surprise, because as it comes from a natural source, it does not have to be chemically treated which would alter its taste. It makes spring water an excellent drinking water.

As for Naya water, it comes directly from the Naya source in Mirabel and is actively protected in an environment entirely isolated from human pollution. Thanks to its pH that is practically neutral, it is considered quite balanced, on a chemical level, and thus, a healthy choice.

Naya is also unique in that it is the first bottled water sold in a bottle completely made of recycled plastic, one of many socially responsible actions we have taken. Naya works on a daily basis at reducing its environmental footprint and at getting the social movement into gear in the right direction.

So not only does Naya offer water that is pure tasting and is also good for you, but all of which in the most environmentally friendly manner possible.
