The use of palm wax as a base for candlemaking is a relatively new idea. Because it’s an organic product it doesn’t give off the smoke and soot residue of a petro-chemical based candle — in fact it doesn’t produce any smoke at all and the natural crystallisation of the organic structures give the candles a nice lantern effect when lit.
